Whale Watching
Whale Watching takes place in Hervey Bay from July to November when the humpback whales are on their migration route from the Antarctic. The clean clear waters of the Hervey Bay Marine Park are sheltered from the South-Easterly trade winds by Fraser Island, providing superb viewing opportunities. In these calm waters you can hear the whales singing and will be amazed at how close the more inquisitive ones come to the boats. See the humpback whales blow water, slap their tails, wave their pectoral fins and simply show off for all spectators to see.
